About the Journal
Plenário – Revista Jurídica da Câmara dos Deputados (Plenary – Brazilian Chamber of Deputies Law Journal) is an academic-scientific journal created by the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies in 2024, with a biannual periodicity, published in physical and digital format, with the aim of disseminating scientific texts from the most diverse areas of law about issues involving the Legislative Branch, the legislative process, legistics, Parliamentary Law and the relationship between the three branches of government in legislative action, with the objective of contributing to the analysis of the major topics under discussion in the National Congress by encouraging scientific research and quality legal debate.
Focus and Scope
The journal's scope is to publish unpublished academic-scientific articles, resulting from theoretical and empirical research in the most diverse areas of law about issues involving the Legislative Branch, the legislative process, legistics, Parliamentary Law and the relationship between the three branches of government in legislative action.

Conflict of interest
Authors should indicate in their articles any potential conflict of interest, whether financial or otherwise, that could be considered as a possible influence on the interpretation or conclusions presented in their manuscripts. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed.
Evaluation policy
Upon receipt, the article goes through a preliminary analysis by the Editorial Team's technical advisors, in compliance with the submission rules and the omission of authorship identification in the article.
Once approved at this preliminary stage, it is forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief for analysis.
If the article is considered suitable in the pre-analysis, it is forwarded for analysis by two members of the Board of Reviewers, chosen according to thematic relevance, using the double-blind method. Each consultant issues its opinion, which may be: (i) favorable to publication; (ii) unfavorable to publication; (iii) favorable with suggestions without the need for reassessment; (iv) favorable with suggestions requiring reassessment, after changes.
The opinion is forwarded to the author, without identifying the reviewer. If there are two unfavorable opinions for publication, the article is rejected. If there is one favorable and one unfavorable opinion, the article undergoes a third evaluation.
Articles with two favorable opinions will be included in the article database that, at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief and the Assistant Editors, may be chosen for publication.
The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editorial Team and the Editorial.

Copyright Notice
Once they have submitted their articles to the evaluation process and have their articles published, the authors transfer the copyrights of these articles to Plenário. Only after publication on the Journal's official website are the authors authorized to reproduce the published articles, with due citation.
Publication in the journal is pro bono and therefore does not generate remuneration.
As a requirement for submission, copyright assignment termos de cessão de direitos autorais which must be completed by all authors and, where applicable, translators, photographers and illustrators. All images included in the publication must have a commercial use license or have their inclusion in the work authorized by the author.
